1,077 Rule-Violating Vehicles Penalized in North Jakarta

As many as 1,077 vehicles caught violating regulations in North Jakarta between January and March 2026 have faced enforcement action.

North Jakarta Traffic and Transportation Operational Handling Section Head, Yulza Ramadhoni Putra stated that the operations targeted various types of vehicles, including public transport, pickups, box trucks, lorries, motorcycles, and private vehicles.
"We keep intensifying routine surveillance and enforcement to provide a deterrent effect while ensuring smooth traffic flow, particularly in areas prone to violations," he expressed, Tuesday (4/7).

Further, the 'Tire Valve Removal Operation' (OCP) was focused on 40 motorcycles and five cars. While, 213 vehicles were towed and hauled away by personnel.
"During that three-month period, the enforcement trend fluctuated," he explained.
He emphasized that all enforcement actions were conducted following prevailing regulations as part of the effort to maintain public order on the roadways.
"Every day, we deploy approximately 40 joint personnel to patrol locations prone to traffic violations, particularly illegal parking," he explained.
He urged residents to exercise greater discipline on the road, including obeying traffic signs and refraining from parking their vehicles haphazardly.
"Through consistent and measured enforcement, hopefully public awareness regarding traffic regulations, particularly in North Jakarta, will continue to improve," he concluded.
