Lenteng Agung JPO Elevator Awaits Repairs

Following public reports, the Jakarta Bina Marga Agency promptly looked into the state of the elevators at the Tanjung Barat and Tapal Kuda Lenteng Agung Pedestrian bridges (JPO) in South Jakarta.

The replacement parts are currently on order

Officials confirmed that the Tanjung Barat JPO elevator is fully operational and running normally during its scheduled hours.

However, the elevator at the Lenteng Agung JPO is currently down as it needs new spare parts to replace damaged ones.

"The replacement parts are currently on order. We will get the repairs done as soon as they are available," explainedData and Information Center Head, Siti Dinarwenny, Tuesday (4/7).

She noted that her agrncy understands how vital accessibility is, especially for those using wheelchairs, the elderly, pregnant women, and people with disabilities.

Because of this, elevator staff will be on standby at the location to help anyone needing assistance while the repairs are still in progress, following the usual operating schedule.

"We would like to apologize for the inconvenience. We also value the public's awareness and concern for our public facilities, particularly our city's road infrastructure," she added.
