Again, City Provides Tax Incentives for Restaurant and Hotel Sector

The Jakarta Provincial Government has again provided regional tax incentives through Governor's Decree Number 310 of 2026 about the Provision of Principal Tax Relief on Certain Goods and Services for Food and/or Beverages and Hotel Services.

A 20 percent relief

Through this policy, Taxpayers operating in the restaurant and hotel services sector will receive a 20 percent reduction in the principal tax on Certain Goods and Services Tax (PBJT) for the March 2026 tax period.

The public can take advantage of this relief through the online tax service belonging to the Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) on the site: https://pajakonline.jakarta.go.id/ and is valid until April 30, 2026.

Tax Incentive Strategy Boosts Jakarta's Economic Growth

Head of the Regional Revenue Agency of Jakarta Province, Lusiana Herawati, said this policy is part of the regional government's efforts to encourage people's purchasing power, especially in the food and/or beverage and hotel sectors, in order to increase economic growth in the Jakarta region.

She said that one of the advantages of this policy is that the granting mechanism is carried out through official means, so that taxpayers do not need to submit an application to obtain this tax relief.

"A 20 percent relief from the principal PBJT for food and/or beverages and hotel services will be directly calculated into the tax obligations that must be paid by Taxpayers for the March 2026 tax period," she said, Tuesday (4/7).

Lusiana explained that even though they are given a principal tax relief, taxpayers are still required to fulfill their regional tax obligations in accordance with applicable provisions, namely making payments or deposits of regional taxes and submitting Regional Tax Notification Letters (SPTPD) in accordance with applicable tax provisions.

The Jakarta Provincial Government hopes that this policy will provide real convenience for business actors while encouraging compliance in fulfilling regional tax obligations.

"This policy support is expected to strengthen the recovery and sustainability of economic activity in the food, beverage, and hospitality sectors in Jakarta," she added.
