The North Jakarta Food Security, Maritime Affairs and Agriculture Sub-agency (KPKP) ensures that food products in circulation are safe for consumption.
64 samples were examined
Head of the Sub-agency, Novy Christine Palit said today, supervision and inspection were carried out on 64 food samples, both from traditional markets and fostered locations in Koja and Cilincing Districts.
Supervision was carried out at Koja Market, Rawa Badak Market, Lontar Market (Kebon Melati), Waru Market, and the Rorotan Development Location (Lokbin).
28 Markets in South Jakarta are Safe from Hazardous Materials"A total of 64 samples were examined, consisting of 46 samples of agricultural products and 18 samples of livestock products," she said, Thursday (4/9).
She explained this activity is a routine program implemented in collaboration with the Jakarta Provincial Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Agency. Two mobile laboratories were deployed to conduct on-site testing, with the inspection center at Koja Market.
"The inspection results showed that all food products from the five markets were 100 percent safe for consumption. No hazardous substances were found," she explained.
Increasing public awareness of food safety is an encouragement for the government to continue to strengthen supervision.
"This program will continue to be carried out periodically in all markets spread across six districts in North Jakarta," she admitted.
