Kartini Day Commemoration in West Jakarta Declares Empowered Women

The West Jakarta City Government, Wednesday (4/22), commemorated Kartini's Birthday with the theme 'Kartini Re:Power West Jakarta "Empowered Women, Global Jakarta with Cultural Roots" at the Walkot Farm 4.0, Mayor's Office.

Iin said the activities, which will run until Friday (April 24), convey the message of how women must be resilient and empowered. Iin believes that with collaborative efforts, women in West Jakarta will be more resilient and empowered.

"Recent developments have demanded multi-talented women. They can not only manage the home but also work and contribute to the family's food security," she said.

Iin reminded women not to forget their role as mothers, who must be able to educate their children well in the midst of the development of the digital era.

"Direct interaction should not always involve the use of gadgets. Therefore, when a mother has space to spend time with her child, it provides a positive educational intervention," she added.

Vice Chairwoman of the Jakarta City Council, Rany Mauliani, stated that today's activity is a symbol of empowering fellow women.

According to Rany, women who are present in society, whether housewives or workers in various institutions, must be able to be a home for their children and continue to have a positive impact on other women in the real world.

Rany emphasized that women's presence can no longer be underestimated. She believes that today's women work not only to help their husbands survive, but also as a form of real work.

"We are celebrating the empowerment of fellow women to continue to impact society, especially in West Jakarta," she stated.
