Penanganan Tumpukan Sampah di TPS Terminal Bus Kampung Rambutan Diintensifkan

Waste Management at Kampung Rambutan Terminal TPS Intensified

Waste management at the temporary landfill (TPS) at the Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal in East Jakarta continues to be intensified. Three large-capacity trucks are deployed daily to transport waste from the site.

around 10 tons

Head of Ciracas District, Panangaran Ritonga said the volume of waste at the TPS does not only come from residents in Rambutan Urban Village, but also from tree pruning, the controlling of street vendors on Jalan Raya Bogor, and activities inside the terminal.

"Every day, three typer fleets with a capacity of around 10 tons are deployed to transport waste to the Bantar Gebang TPST, Bekasi," he said.

Some of the waste is also diverted to the TPS on Jalan TB Simatupang, Tanjung Barat Urban Village, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta, especially for types of wood that will be destroyed at that location.

The Head of the Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal, Revi Zulkarnain, explained that the TPS located within the terminal area can be used by the public because it is government-owned land.

"Even though it can be used, I remind residents to still comply with the waste disposal schedule," he explained.

According to him, as a type A terminal that serves inter-city and inter-provincial (AKAP) transportation and inner-city buses, cleanliness management at the Kampung Rambutan Terminal is carried out independently by providing officers and supporting facilities.

"Garbage collection is carried out periodically by involving coordination with the East Jakarta Environmental Sub-agency to prevent accumulation and maintain the cleanliness of the terminal environment," he added.

He hopes that through these efforts, it will be possible to prevent the long-term accumulation of waste at the Kampung Rambutan Terminal TPS.
