Rano hopes that providing safe, accessible, and sustainable drinking water will improve people's quality of life and reduce dependence on groundwater, thereby ensuring environmental balance.
"This is one of the facilities for the west region which needs more water," he added.
Director of PAM Jaya, Arief Nasrudin explained Semanan portable WTP falls under the communal service category. This communal WTP facility is part of an effort to improve service delivery to address the limited water distribution coverage from large WTPs in underserved areas.
The party has also established communal service facilities in Muara Karang, Penjaringan.
Apart from that, Arief continued, his party will also manage a number of reservoirs that have been built by the Water Resources Agency.
"The Semanan Portable WTP has a capacity of between two and four liters per second. This is a critical point because our pusher doesn't reach this point," he explained.
Meanwhile, West Jakarta Mayor, Iin Mutmainah hoped that the presence of this Portable WTP facility can overcome the problems that residents have been complaining about.
"Hopefully this can operate well and in the future even bigger facilities can be built," she hoped.
