Fire Cases in North Jakarta and the Seribu Islands Decrease

He explained that the firefighting operation was prolonged due to the nature of the facility, which contained highly flammable materials. The fire, which affected an area of approximately 1,200 square meters, was successfully localized by 11:42 PM, followed by a cooling process to prevent reignition.

"After an extensive operation, the site was declared fully clear and the operation concluded at 2:05 AM," he added.

Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was triggered by an electrical short circuit that caused an explosion in the power panel. Sparks then ignited oil drums, causing the fire to spread rapidly.

"No casualties in this incident. We urge the public to conduct regular inspections of electrical installations to mitigate fire risks," he urged.

Meanwhile, a warehouse employee named Willy described the event as occurring very rapidly. He noted, the fire intensified suddenly, causing panic among the staff.

He expressed his appreciation for the rapid response of the Gulkarmat team, whose swift action prevented the blaze from spreading to adjacent buildings or nearby residential areas.

"We are grateful to them for their prompt arrival and large-scale deployment. Their efforts ensured the fire was contained and did not encroach upon local housing," he concluded.
