Water Channel on Jalan Tridharma VII Revitalized

The Blue Troop personnel of Cilandak District's Water Resources Unit are improving the water channel on Jalan Tridharma VII RT 02/08, Pondok Labu Urban Village, Cilandak District, South Jakarta.

Head of the Unit, Yansori, said this revitalization is a follow-up to residents' proposals submitted to the 2025 Development Planning Conference (Musrenbang).

"We're upgrading the water channels. Previously, the channels were made of stone and cement, but we're replacing them with U-ditches to make them more sturdy," he said, Thursday (5/7).

He explained that the work is carried out along 70 meters using a 40 centimeter U-ditch.

"We deployed seven Blue Troop personnel with manual work equipment," he explained.

He hopes that repairing the channel will increase the water capacity so that the potential for flooding during rain can be prevented.

"It is targeted for completion in a week," he added.

Meanwhile, a local resident, Hendraji, appreciated the improvement to the water channel because the previous condition of the channel was narrow and many parts of the retaining wall were damaged.

"Hopefully, during the rainy season, this water channel will function well and there will be no flooding," he hoped.
