3,687 Parking Spaces Provided for Jakarta's 499th Anniversary Launching

The Jakarta Provincial Government will hold a Car Free Day (CFD) on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta in the context of the launch of the 499th anniversary of the City of Jakarta on Sunday (5/10) starting at 05.30–10 AM.

In addition to traffic engineering, the Jakarta Transportation Agency also provides four parking pockets around the activity location, namely in the Festival Market and Sumantri Sports Hall area, the Rasuna Said Epicentrum area, Setiabudi One, and the Nyi Ageng Serang Building.

"We also provide 3,687 Parking Spaces (SRP) around the event location consisting of 1,680 SRP for cars and 2,007 SRP for motorcycles," said Ujang Harmawan, Acting Head of Jakarta Transportation Agency, Friday (5/8).

He explained that public transportation services would continue to operate during the Car Free Day, namely Transjakarta routes L13 (Puri Beta–Flyover Kuningan Express), 4D (Pulo Gadung–Kuningan), 6 (Ragunan–Galunggung), 6A (Ragunan–Balai Kota via Kuningan), 6B (Ragunan–Balai Kota via Semanggi), and 6H (Senen–Lebak Bulus).

In addition, the Jabodebek LRT on the Dukuh Atas–Harjamukti and Dukuh Atas–Jati Mulya routes also remain to operate.

"Road users are advised to avoid these road sections and comply with established traffic regulations, obey traffic signs, follow the instructions of officers in the field, and prioritize road safety," he explained.

The following are details of the Parking Space Units (SRP) at four parking pocket points around the activity location:

a. Pasar Festival and Soemantri Sports Hall Parking: 305 SRP for cars and 437 SRP for motorcycles;

b. Rasuna Epicentrum Area Parking: 850 SRP for cars and 685 SRP for motorcycles;

c. Setiabudi One: 310 SRP for cars and 450 SRP for motorcycles;

d. Nyi Ageng Serang Building: 215 SRP for cars and 435 SRP for motorcycles.
