Fallen and Broken Trees in East Jakarta Completely Removed

The Green Taskforce personnel of East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency managed to evacuate four fallen trees and one broken tree caused by strong wind.

Head Section of Green Lane and Cemetery of the Sub-agency, Made Widhi Adnyana Surya Pratita said a laurel tree with a diameter of around 90 centimeters on Jalan Masjid Darulaman, Bidara Cina Urban Village, Jatinegara District fell and blocked the road.

Then, at the same location, an Aren tree with a diameter of 90 centimeters and two Loa trees with a similar diameter also fell and hit the roof of a religious study group.

Meanwhile, a tree broke on Jalan DI Panjaitan, next to the UKI Cawang City Forest Busway pedestrian bridge in Kebon Pala Urban Village, Makasar District. The 20-centimeter-diameter cherry tree suffered a broken branch due to strong winds.

"We deployed 30 personnel of Green Taskforce and local Orange troops," he said.

Meanwhile, one of Bidara Cina Urban Village residents, Imam (55) appreciated the quick response of the personnel in evacuating the trees that fell on a roof.

"Thank you to the officers who quickly cleared the fallen tree. This allowed the tree trunk that had fallen on the roof of the religious study group to be quickly removed," he admitted.
