Retaining Wall of Pasar Nangka Channel in C. Jakarta Undergoes Repair

The Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) has deployed 10 "blue squad" personnel to repair a retaining wall along the Pasar Nangka connecting channel in RW 10, Utan Panjang, Kemayoran.

Completion within the next two months

According to Supriyadi, Head of Kemayoran SDA Sub-agency, the repair of the 200-meter-long and three-meter-high wall has been underway since early May.

"We target completion within the next two months," he stated, Tuesday (5/19).

Repairs to the Collapsed Sultan Hasanudin Road Completed

He explained that the repair of the channel's retaining wall is a follow-up to residents' aspirations voiced through the Community Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) and a consultative meeting with the Mayor of Central Jakarta.

"Hopefully, residents will no longer erect structures on top of the repaired retaining walls," he urged.

RW 10 Utan Panjang Resident, Parjono (44) expressed his appreciation for the Central Jakarta SDA Sub-agency for addressing the community's concerns.

"We're grateful that the wall is being repaired so that the connecting channel can function optimally during the rainy season," he said.
