Joint Personnel Act Quickly to Thwart Street Brawl on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai

Joint personnel moved swiftly to prevent a street brawl on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, specifically at the border of Cipinang Muara and Klender sub-districts, East Jakarta, Monday (5/25) morning.

To prevent this brawl from escalating

East Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Muhammadong, stated that the joint task force immediately dispersed crowds that had begun to gather and engage in clashes at 6:30 AM.

"We deployed 30 to work alongside the East Jakarta Metro Police and the Jakarta Metropolitan Police’s Mobile Brigade (Brimob) to prevent this brawl from escalating," he expressed.

He explained that authorities recovered several items from the scene, including eight arrows and six rocket firework casings allegedly used by the perpetrators.

"The evidence was immediately secured. The perpetrators scattered and fled the scene as soon as our personnel arrived," he added.

Meanwhile, Cipinang Muara Sub-district Head, Komarudin, added that five PPSU personnel were deployed to clean up the site.

"Our personnel are clearing stones and firework debris scattered across the road," he stated.

As of 8:20 AM, joint personnel from the Jakarta Brimob, East Jakarta Metro Police, and Satpol PP remained on standby at the scene to prevent any follow-up clashes.

"I urge residents, particularly the younger generation, to refrain from engaging in brawls. Let us focus on positive activities that do not harm others," he emphasized.
