Jakarta LRT Project is Committed to Prioritizing Security and Safety Aspects

PT Jakarta Propertindo or Jakpro together with the contractor implementing the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B project continues to strengthen its commitment to prioritizing aspects of security, occupational safety, and the comfort of the community around the construction area.

productive, safe, and prioritizes the comfort of our residents

This commitment is realized through the implementation of construction safety standards and is under two safety standards at once, namely, the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) in accordance with Government Regulation Number 50 of 2012, and the international standard ISO 45001:2018.

Jakarta LRT Extension to Dukuh Atas: Jakpro Drives Transport and Urban Integration

Jakarta LRT Phase 1B Project Director Ramdani Akbar said both certifications are not merely for show, but require periodic audits, transparent incident reporting, and continuous improvement.

The development of modern public transportation must go hand in hand with the protection of workers and the surrounding community.

"Safety is not just part of the project's procedures, but a work culture that we are continuously building with all our partners and field workers. We want to ensure that the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B construction is productive, safe, and prioritizes the comfort of our residents," he said, Monday (5/25).

He explained that Jakarta LRT Phase 1B has recorded 6,405,252 total working hours with zero accidents since the start of construction. In addition, this project has also been able to absorb a workforce of 1,160 workers.

"Construction of Jakarta's LRT Phase 1B is taking place in a densely trafficked area and with a relatively narrow work area. Therefore, the protection of surrounding residents is receiving as much attention as the safety of workers," he explained.

According to him, the progress of the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B construction has reached 92.67 percent as of the first week of May 2026. The presence of this new line is expected to strengthen urban transportation connectivity while encouraging people to switch to more integrated, safe, and environmentally friendly public transportation modes.

"Through collaboration with all parties, Jakpro is optimistic that the construction of Jakarta LRT Phase 1B can be completed on time, prioritizing work quality, construction safety, and long-term benefits for the people of Jakarta," he hoped.
