500 Satpol PP Personnel Assist Security during the Demonstration

A total of 500 personnel from the Jakarta Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) were deployed to assist in securing demonstrations to express opinions at several points in the Jakarta area on Friday (6/12).

Head of Jakarta Satpol PP, Satriadi Gunawan said the deployment of hundreds of personnel was to help maintain a safe and orderly situation.

"We also continue to cooperate with the Police, the Transportation Agency, and other relevant agencies to ensure that community activities continue to run smoothly," he said, Friday (6/12).

He appealed to the public to remain calm, avoid locations that are points of mass concentration unless they have urgent matters to attend to, and follow the directions of officers in the field.

The Jakarta Provincial Government will continue to monitor the situation with relevant stakeholders and provide the latest information to the public through official Jakarta Provincial Government channels.

"We also invite all parties to maintain public order and convey aspirations in an orderly manner in accordance with applicable provisions," he appealed.
