Basuki Appreciates PKK Become an Agent of Change

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama, acknowledged he was pleased in which the current Family Welfare Movement (PKK) has become an agent of change. It is expected PKK member can synergize with headmen to become the observers of Jakarta residents.

"I was pleased the PKK has become the agent of change, instead of oil and gas agent," said Basuki, during the opening of Jakarta PKK Regional Work Meeting, at City Hall, Tuesday (6/14).

He expects they could be observers of Jakarta residents. They can take advantage of the Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA). "Now we've got RPTRA, I don't want them to use the offices of RW or urban village anymore, just use RPTRA," he expressed.

He promised will continue to add RPTRA. Initial target, urban village would have RPTRA, but it is targeted to be increased in each RW in future. Later on, there will be 2,500 residents targeted to have RPTRA.

He added, RPTRA can be used as a healthy huddle place. They also have extra to collect data about the resident life. "It could be a healthy huddle. The PKK task was also to collect data. I do not want any children who drop out of school, but was not detected," h disclosed.
