Traffic Plan: Haul Akbar of Betawi Scholars and Habaib 2026, This Friday

In preparation for the Grand Assembly of Betawi Scholars and Habaib 2026, the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) is implementing traffic diversion and transportation services. The gathering will be held at the South Side Plaza of the National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta, this Friday (6/19), between 5 PM and 10 PM.

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Budi Awaluddin stated that 88 personnel will be deployed to implement traffic management, provide public transport services, and designate parking areas to ensure smooth mobility for both event participants and the general public in the surrounding area during the event.

"Situational traffic schemes are in place to guarantee the smooth conduct of the event while minimizing disruption to the movement of the public. Our men will be on standby at various locations to direct traffic and provide guidance to road users,” he expressed, Thursday (6/18).

City Deploys Massive Cleanup Force for May Day at Monas

This situational traffic schemes will be applied on the northern side of Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan for motorists traveling from Tanah Abang (West) and Kota (North) toward Senen (East), with a primary focus on public movement and the safety of road users.

Road users may take the following alternative routes:

1. From Harmoni toward Bundaran HI: via Jalan Majapahit – Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat – Jalan MH Thamrin, and so forth;

2. From Harmoni toward Tugu Tani: via Jalan Ir H Juanda – Jalan Pos – Jalan Gedung Kesenian – Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara – Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat – Jalan Taman Pejambon – Jalan Pejambon – Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur – Jalan M.I. Ridwan Rais, and so forth;

3. From Harmoni toward Gambir Station: via Jalan Majapahit – Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat – Jalan MH Thamrin – Jalan Kebon Sirih – Jalan MI Ridwan Rais – Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur, and so forth;

4. From Bundaran HI toward Harmoni: via Jalan MH Thamrin – Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat – Jalan Majapahit, and so forth; OR via Jalan MH Thamrin – Jalan Budi Kemuliaan – Jalan Abdul Muis – Jalan Majapahit, and so forth;

5. From Bundaran HI toward Senen: via Jalan MH Thamrin – Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat – Jalan Majapahit – Jalan Ir H Juanda – Jalan Pos – Jalan DR Sutomo – Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, and so forth;

6. From Tanah Abang toward Tugu Tani: via Jalan Jatibaru Raya – Jalan Kebon Sirih, and so forth;

7. From Tugu Tani toward Tanah Abang: via Jalan MI Ridwan Rais – Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur – Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara – Jalan Majapahit – Jalan Abdul Muis, and so forth;

8. From Kramat Salemba toward Tanah Abang: via Jalan Kramat Raya – Jalan Pasar Senen – Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya – Jalan Budi Utomo – Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara – Jalan Katedral – Jalan Ir H Juanda – Jalan Suryopranoto, and so forth.

Attendees are prohibited from parking their vehicles on the roadside and are urged to use the designated parking areas provided around the Monas area. These include IRTI Monas Parking Lot, Gambir Station, Lemhannas, National Library, Telkom STO Gambir Building, Ministry of SOEs (BUMN), Menara Danareksa, and Indosat Building.

"The total available capacity reaches 1,840 cars and 3,180 motorcycles," hr added.

By so, residents are urged to use available public transportation to reach the Monas area. According to him, utilizing public transit is the best option for traveling to the event venue.

"Besides being more practical, this will also help parse traffic congestion around Monas while the event is underway," he noted.

He mentioned that Transjakarta will run as usual. If situational traffic changes occur, routes will adjust based on current traffic arrangements.

You can use the following Transjakarta services:

1. Corridor 1 (Blok M–Kota): serving Monas Bus Stop;

2. Route 1A (Pantai Maju–City Hall): serving Monas or City Hall Bus Stops;

3. Route 1P (Senen–Blok M): serving Gambir 3 Bus Stop;

4. Corridor 2 (Pulo Gadung–Monas): serving Gambir 2, Monas, or City Hall Bus Stops;

5. Route 2A (Pulo Gadung–Rawa Buaya): serving Gambir 2, Monas, or City Hall Bus Stops;

6. Corridor 3 (Kalideres–Monas via Veteran): serving Monas Bus Stop;

7. Route 5C (Cililitan–Juanda): serving Monas or City Hall Bus Stops;

8. Route 6A (Ragunan–City Hall via Kuningan): serving City Hall Bus Stop;

9. Route 6B (Ragunan–City Hall via Semanggi): serving City Hall Bus Stop;

10. Route 7F (Kampung Rambutan–Juanda): serving Monas or City Hall Bus Stops;

11. Route 14A (Monas–Jakarta International Stadium/JIS): serving Monas Bus Stop.

So, Jakarta Transportation Agency is calling on the public, especially long-distance train travelers using Gambir Station, to adjust their timing and routes to avoid traffic buildup.

"We ask everyone to follow the traffic rules and the guidance of our personnel on-site. By working together, we can keep the event safe and orderly without disrupting public movement. For those not attending the event, please avoid the roads surrounding Monas during these hours," he closed.
