"Collaboration among the government, OJK, Bank Indonesia, the creative economy sector, and business players is what will bring about meaningful change in a city," Pramono said at the Bank Indonesia's Jakarta Representative Office in Central Jakarta on Friday (6/19).

He expressed appreciation to Bank Indonesia and OJK for organizing the annual festival. According to him, the integration of the digital economy and artificial intelligence within the creative economy is helping accelerate Jakarta's transformation into a global city.

"I hope innovation, exploration, and empowerment are promoted not just once a year. If possible, activities like this should be held every month because they can contribute to Jakarta's economic growth," he added.

Meanwhile, Bank Indonesia's Jakarta Representative Office Head Iwan Setiawan said JKF 2026 will provide a collaborative platform for the development of the creative economy through sports, music, and film.

The festival will also include programs promoting MSMEs, digital payment adoption, Islamic economic literacy, urban farming, and food processing, all aimed at supporting economic growth.

"Our assessment shows that the creative economy is a new engine of growth. Among the 17 creative economy subsectors, we see music and film as particularly promising," he explained.

He said the festival is expected to strengthen Jakarta's film industry while generating broader economic benefits, particularly for the tourism, food and beverage, and employment sectors.

OJK Jabodebek Head Edwin Nurhadi reaffirmed OJK's support for JKF and the development of the creative economy, particularly through financing initiatives. He noted that the creative economy is a highly promising sector for supporting Jakarta's economic growth.

"The creative economy serves as both an engine of growth and a game changer in supporting Jakarta's economic development," he emphasized.
