Vice Chairwoman of the Jakarta City Council, Rany Mauliani, hopes that Jakarta will continue to develop into a city that is increasingly advanced, prosperous, and able to bring happiness to all its residents in its 499th year.
Hopefully Jakarta will become better
According to Rany, Jakarta's increasing maturity should be a momentum to continue improving in realizing its dream of becoming a modern, inclusive, and competitive global city.

She emphasized that the synergy between the Jakarta Provincial Government and the Jakarta City Council needs to be continuously strengthened so that various development programs can run optimally and meet the needs of the community.
According to her, unity between the executive and legislative branches is one of the keys to realizing a Jakarta that is increasingly comfortable, beautiful, and ready to compete at the global level.
"The executive and the council must remain solid and united in developing programs that are truly needed by the community and in making Jakarta more beautiful and better," she added.
Rany also considered this year's 499th anniversary celebration of Jakarta to be special because it featured various programs that directly benefited the community. These included free public transportation services and a variety of entertainment activities for residents to enjoy.
Rany also appreciated the various improvement and innovation steps taken by the Jakarta Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Pramono Anung and Vice Governor Rano Karno.
According to her, developing and managing Jakarta as a metropolitan city that has thrived for almost five centuries is no easy task. It requires the ability to adapt to changing times and the ever-changing needs of society.
"I see many improvements and innovations being made. The provincial government is certainly continuing to strive to provide the best for the community in line with current developments and needs," she continued.
Rany is optimistic that Jakarta will continue to develop into a better city if the synergy between the Jakarta Provincial Government and the Jakarta City Council is maintained.
