Trees Planted on Ciliwung Riverbank in Pinangsia

A 120 meter wide area of ​​land on the banks of the Ciliwung River, Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta RW 04, Pinangsia Urban Village, Taman Sari, West Jakarta, Friday (7/3), was planted with shade trees and ornamental plants.

Make the area more shady

Head of West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency, Dirja Kusuma explained there are six Bungur trees and 1,000 polybags of Pretty Pink ornamental plants planted at this location.

This tree planting is a routine activity to green the city and minimize the impact of air pollution.

"The location is in a densely populated area. We hope the shade trees will make the area more shady," he explained.

Vice of Taman Sari District, Novi Indria Sari appreciated the West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency for realizing the Friday Planting program every week.

Novi hopes that this planting activity can educate residents to keep the area beautiful and clean.

"We hope that the community will also help ensure that the trees grow well and the area remains beautiful and green," she hoped.
