Pramono Inaugurates Mayapada Hospital to Improve Healthcare Services

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung inaugurated Mayapada Hospital in East Jakarta in Cakung, East Jakarta, on Thursday (July 9). The hospital is expected to expand access to quality healthcare services meeting international standards.

Hospital with a benchmark and a reference

"I really hope that Mayapada Hospital will become an international hospital with a benchmark and a reference, not just hospitals in Indonesia anymore," said Pramono.

Pramono Commits to Prioritizing Health and Education

Pramono wants Mayapada Hospital to become a preferred hospital for people who have previously sought treatment abroad. This way, the country's foreign exchange will not flow abroad.

This hospital has a capacity of 107 beds and is designed for all segments of the community. Built in a densely populated area, this hospital is considered highly representative in its healthcare services.

"This is an area where the community is growing, there are many new families who will then definitely need a representative hospital," he added.

In addition to Mayapada Hospital, the Cakung area, East Jakarta, will also have another international standard hospital built by the Jakarta Provincial Government.

Based on Law Number 2 of 2024, Jakarta has become a global city, the center of the national economy, and the nation's capital. As a global city, the health sector is one of the Jakarta Provincial Government's prioritized programs, alongside education.

There are 195 hospitals in Jakarta which managed by the Jakarta Provincial Government, the private sector, and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri). However, he emphasized the importance of good coordination in running all of Jakarta's hospitals.

So that the universal health coverage (UHC) achievement in Jakarta, which has reached 98.74 percent, can be maintained.

"I would like to express my appreciation to the Mayapada Group for their contribution to building this hospital in Cakung. Hopefully, it will be operational soon and the community can benefit from it," Pramono hoped.

President Commissioner of Mayapada Healthcare, Jonathan Tahir, said that Mayapada Hospital East Jakarta is the eighth hospital in the Mayapada Hospital group.

"We hope this hospital can bring good luck not only to Mayapada, but also bring blessings to the surrounding community," he said.

Mayapada Hospital, East Jakarta, is the third hospital in Jakarta. Jonathan stated that the healthcare facilities at this hospital are built to support the government's program to realize a Golden Indonesia.
