From January to mid-July 2026, the Jakarta Environmental Agency responded to 1,700 requests for free bulk waste collection services for the public.

The Head of the Jakarta Environmental Agency, Dudi Gardesi, explained that his agency provides Bulky Waste services to help residents dispose of large-sized waste such as mattresses, beds, cupboards, shelves, cabinets, sofas, chairs, dining tables, refrigerators, trolleys, carts and even bicycles, safely and responsibly.

He explained that the Bulky Waste service eases residents to dispose of unused items in a safe, orderly and environmentally friendly manner so as not to cause pollution or disruption to public facilities.
"We invite Jakarta residents not to throw away large-sized waste carelessly," he appealed.
The public can submit a pick-up request online via the Bulky Waste service page on the official website of the Jakarta Environmental Service at https://lingkunganhidup.jakarta.go.id/layanan/bulky-waste. Select the "Pick Up My Bulky Waste" menu, then filling out the available form.
This service is free of charge, but people need to register first and wait for the pick-up schedule according to the predetermined queue.
In addition to the pick-up service, residents can also deliver large waste directly to the drop point location every Wednesday and Saturday from 9 AM–12 PM, in accordance with applicable regulations.
"The more residents utilize official services like Bulky Waste, the greater our contribution to maintaining environmental cleanliness, reducing illegal waste disposal practices, and supporting a sustainable waste management system in Jakarta," he explained.
