According to him, in addition to 63 trash cans, each RW also received assistance in the form of three sacks of cement to support the creation of large biopore holes.

"These trash cans will be used as large biopore holes to collect organic waste from residents' kitchens. Hopefully, organic waste management can be carried out directly within each community," he said.

Puja explained that accelerating biopore construction is an important step considering the policy of reducing waste sent to the Bantar Gebang landfill continues to be strengthened.

According to him, public awareness of waste sorting continues to increase. Of the 8,967 homes across seven RWs, 5,442, or approximately 61 percent, have implemented waste sorting.

"Susukan Urban Village is targeting this achievement to increase to 80 percent by the end of July," he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of RW 04, Susukan Urban Village, Abdul Mufti, appreciated the support from private companies and the urban village government, which he considered to further strengthen residents' participation in waste management.

"We distributed direct assistance to the RT heads so that the construction of large biopore holes could be carried out immediately," he admitted.
