25 Firefighter Personnel Extinguished a Fire on Jalan Papanggo Raya

A total of 25 personnel from the North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Fire and Rescue Sub-agency managed to extinguish the fire that burned down a house on Jalan Papanggo Raya, RT 01/03, Papanggo Urban Village, Tanjung Priok District.

Head Section of Operation for the Sub-agency, Gatot Sulaeman said the fire was reported at 9:48 AM. The preliminary suspicion is that the fire originated from an electrical short circuit in the fan.

Gatot explained that the firefighting process began at 9:55 AM. Personnel immediately localized the fire to prevent it from spreading to surrounding buildings.
"The fire was successfully extinguished by 10:55 AM. There were no fatalities or injuries," he explained.
He appealed to the public to regularly check electrical installations at home to prevent fires due to short circuits.
Meanwhile, Papanggo Urban Village Head Erwin Djati Kusuma commended the swift action of the Fire and Rescue Sub-agency personnel who extinguished the fire, ensuring it was brought under control in a short time.
"If it were even a little late, the impact could have been much greater," he admitted.
He explained that the homeowners will temporarily take refuge with their closest relatives. The Papanggo Urban Village Office has also coordinated with the North Jakarta Social Services Sub-agency to distribute aid to fire survivors.
