Commission A of the Jakarta City Council delivered recommendations to the Jakarta Provincial Government during a Budget Committee (Banggar) meeting with the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD), which discussed the General Budget Policy and Provisional Budget Ceiling Priorities (KUA-PPAS) for the Jakarta Regional Budget (APBD) for the 2027 fiscal year.

"We recommend increasing the budget for the third recess period of city council members so that public aspirations can be fully captured," he said, Wednesday (8/5).
Commission A also urges the Jakarta Provincial Government to allocate a budget for land acquisition to build community centers and RW (Community Unit) secretariats in densely populated areas. According to the commission, this measure represents a step toward ensuring equitable access to facilities for residents living in general settlements that lack social amenities provided by developers.
Commission A also requested that the construction of the Kapuk Timur and Kapuk Selatan Urban Village offices be prioritized for 2027. This proposal was put forward given that the Kapuk Urban Village currently serves over 174,000 residents, thereby necessitating an improvement in public services.
Regarding disaster management, Commission A recommends the procurement of a firefighting fleet capable of drawing water directly from rivers, reservoirs, or retention ponds. Inggard stated that this proposal is crucial because many hydrants are not functioning optimally or suffer from low water pressure.
"This is crucial because many hydrant networks are damaged or lack sufficient water pressure," he added.
Furthermore, Commission A has called for the optimization of expenditure on Individual Service Providers (PJLP) and experts through workload analysis to ensure more effective and efficient budget utilization.
