Two Schools Prepared Ahead of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 and 11 Renovations

The South Jakarta Education Region I Sub-agency is preparing two schools as temporary relocation sites for students from SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 and 11 while renovations are being carried out at those schools.

Head of the Sub-agency, Santoso said his side has made preparations by planning to relocate teaching and learning activities to two other schools.

"We plan for SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 to hold classes at SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 03, and for SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 11 to do so at SDN Kebayoran Lama Utara 03," he said, Thursday (8/6).

Santoso stated that the reconstruction of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09, which is in a severely damaged condition, is targeted to begin no later than September 2026.

He explained that the new school building features a vertical design and merges SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 and SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 11 into a single structure.

"Eventually, there will be a single, large building located on the former site of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09. As for the former SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 11 building, it will likely be converted into a green open space and an area for other activities, such as sports," he explained.

The relocation of students and educational staff will take place shortly before the demolition of the buildings begins as the initial phase of construction.

Santoso assured that the teaching and learning process would continue to run optimally during the temporary transfer of students to the school. Scheduling for extracurricular activities will also be arranged later.
