Jakarta BBPOM Head Jeffeta Pradeko Putra said the program involved checking the safety of school snacks and educating students to become smart consumers.

"The monitoring is part of our efforts to ensure that the food consumed by students meets food safety requirements," Jeffeta said, as quoted in a written statement on Friday (8/14).

Jeffeta said his agency continues to work with schools and stakeholders to create a safe school environment and raise young people's awareness of how to choose safe food.

Meanwhile, Head of SDN Duri Pulo 04 Masnah Saragih welcomed the Monas program as a preventive measure to ensure food safety for the school community.

"The program provides very important knowledge for both students and canteen operators," she noted.
