Pramono: Private Vehicles Strictly Banned from Jakarta CFD Zones

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has directed the Satpol PP to take firm action against private vehicles entering Car Free Day (CFD) areas. Pram emphasized that he will not tolerate any further intrusions into these designated zones.

"In the future, this must not happen again. I have directly reprimanded Satpol PP to act decisively in such matters," he expressed, in Tebet, South Jakarta, Monday (8/24).

He went on to say that he immediately coordinated with the Transportation Agency. He reiterated that private vehicles are strictly prohibited from entering Car Free Day zones while the event is underway.

He explained that the area had already been cordoned off with barriers and was under the supervision of Satpol PP and local police. Consequently, the Transportation Agency on duty immediately intercepted the vehicles and diverted them out of the CFD area via SCBD.

"In fact, they were redirected to leave the area yesterday. There was a convoy of five vehicles, and one of them was equipped with strobe lights," he added.

His party is currently gathering information regarding the motives behind the vehicles' entry into the CFD area.

"We'll investigate the identities in due course. At this stage, we haven't yet obtained confirmed names, particularly since several of the vehicles were using 'ZZ' license plates," he emphasized.
