Traffic Management Trial at Plumpang Toll Exit Area Starts Tomorrow

The North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency will implement a traffic management trial on Jalan Yos Sudarso, specifically in the area of the Plumpang-Tanjung Priok toll exit in front of the North Jakarta District Attorney's Office, as well as at the Plumpang U-turn for traffic heading from Yos Sudarso toward Kelapa Gading.
One-week trial period
The traffic management trial will take place from August 28 to September 5, 2026. The measures focus on managing vehicles exiting the Yos Sudarso off-ramp, as well as those performing U-turns from both the south and the north.

Wahyu explained that the trial run also serves as a follow-up to public reports regarding traffic violations, specifically driving against the flow of traffic, and the practice of illegal levies in front of the North Jakarta District Attorney's Office.
According to him, road barriers spanning approximately 480 meters will be installed during the implementation phase. These barriers will be shifted to the right or eastern side of the road to create a dedicated lane resembling a busway lane.
The lane will subsequently be shared by Transjakarta buses and vehicles making a U-turn towards Kelapa Gading.
To enhance safety, a combination of concrete and plastic barriers is used. Plastic barriers are placed at the beginning and end of the lane to reduce the risk of fatalities of an accident.
"After a one-week trial period, we will evaluate the results. We also held technical meetings with relevant stakeholders and installed advisory banners to ensure road users are informed," he admitted.
