Pramono Reminds Traders Not to Manipulate Mask Prices

It was stated by Pramono in response to the phenomenon of many mask sellers raising prices several times over when the spread of volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau spread to various regions, including in Jakarta.

He emphasized that masks are one of the essential items for the public that are essential to provide protection from the dangers of volcanic ash.

"Regarding masks, this is a public need, a shared need. Don't play around with it," said Pramono, Monday (9/7).

As a precautionary measure and rapid response, the Jakarta Provincial Government is distributing free masks to the public in various public areas. This measure is being taken to ensure that affected communities remain protected.

"Jakarta government will continue to distribute masks in public places to help people in need," he stated.
