We really appreciate
Head of Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal, Revi Zulkarnain said mask distribution was carried out to minimize the risk of health problems due to exposure to volcanic ash.
Pramono Reminds Traders Not to Manipulate Mask Prices"We're distributing masks for free. This is the third day of distribution, having been doing so since last Sunday," he said, Tuesday (9/8).
Revi explained that in addition to distributing masks, officers also provided education to the public to continue wearing masks during outdoor activities.
"We are educating the public to continue wearing masks while outside the home. There is still exposure to volcanic ash, and not everyone understands its negative impacts," he explained.
East Jakarta Metro Police general practitioner, Iptu Bimo Pradopo, added that CKG was carried out as a form of health service to the public at the terminal to anticipate people experiencing health complaints due to exposure to volcanic ash, such as shortness of breath or itching.
"We check the health of prospective passengers, bus crew and anyone at the terminal who needs health services," he added.
Bimo continued that officers also provide medicines for people who need them according to the complaints they experience.
"Referral services are also provided if the examination results indicate a condition that requires further treatment," he continued.
Meanwhile, one of the passengers, Andi (35) said this activity is even more beneficial because it not only provides masks, but also free health check-up services.
"We really appreciate and are grateful that the terminal management is responsive to the impact of the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau," he admitted.
