Clogged Crossing on Jalan Danau Indah Barat Handled

The Blue Troops personnel of the Water Resources Implementation Unit of Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta, handled the blocked crossing on Jalan Danau Indah Barat, RW 10, Sunter Jaya Urban Village.

Involved eight personnel

Head of the Unit, Neti Heriati said the condition of the blocked crossing means that the water flow cannot run optimally, which is why residents complain.

"We are responding quickly to residents' aspirations so that this crossing can function optimally again, especially during the rainy season," she said, Friday (9/18).

Neti explained that the repairs to the crossing channel are carried out along 10 meters with a depth of about one meter and a width of 12 meters.

"The work involved eight personnel," she explained.

According to her, the work has started two days ago and is targeted for completion in October 2026.

"After the repairs are completed, the capacity and smoothness of water flow at the location is expected to increase to effectively prevent flooding," she explained.

Meanwhile, Administrator of RW 10 for Sunter Jaya Urban Village, Janto appreciates the quick handling performed by the unit.

"Hopefully, after the repairs, the water flow will be smoother so that residents will no longer worry about flooding," he hoped.
