Our Sidewalk are Ugly, Djarot Says

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat appeals sidewalk in Jakarta to be improved soon. Mostly sidewalk condition in Jakarta is bad and unfriendly for pedestrian.

“Our governor said so. Our sidewalk is no longer giving best service for pedestrian,” he said, Wednesday (6/22).

Based on the data, he added, bad sidewalk in capital city reaches thousands of kilometer. It must be responded soon.

According to him, another facility must be improved is street light. The brighter the road, the safer pedestrian walking on sidewalk.

“We want to create Jakarta as safe city. It means dark areas must be brightened,” he closed.
