A total of 764 Kindergarten (TK) students from eight districts participated in enlivening the Central Jakarta Early Age Sports Competition held at the Cempaka Putih Sports Hall, Thursday (9/24).

Head of the Central Jakarta Youth and Sports Sub-agency, Rusdiyanto, said the competition was held to introduce sports to early childhood.
"This competition is held in stages from the urban village to provincial level," he said, Thursday (9/24).
He hopes that the 2026 Central Jakarta Youth Sports Competition will produce potential athletes from Central Jakarta.
"The concept of early childhood education is oriented towards play and movement. Therefore, sports competitions align with the established program," he added.
He explained that 14 teams participated in the Men's Futsal sport, 17 teams in Shadow Gymnastics, 55 teams in Recreational Running and 39 teams in Basketball.
The Head of PAUD Central Jakarta, Witri Yenny Arifin, stated that this competition fosters sportsmanship and fosters the development of talented athletes, as the competition is held in stages up to the provincial level.
"Competitions are held not only to achieve victory, but also to instill a culture of sport from an early age to create healthy Indonesian children," she admitted.
