We appreciate the work of the Governor and Transportation Agency Head
He praised Jakarta's public transit coverage reaching over 93 percent of the area, signaling improved capital connectivity.
“We appreciate the work of the Governor and Transportation Agency Head. Keep it up and improve further," said Wibi after attending the 2026 Provincial National Transportation Day (Harhubnas) event at Balai Samudera, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Wednesday (9/30).
Jakarta Govt to Expand Free Public Transport Benefits to 21 GroupsAccording to him, intermodal integration boosts transit connectivity, but must be paired with incentives for cyclists and pedestrians to reduce private vehicle use.
“We must think out of the box to incentivize cyclists and pedestrians in Jakarta, encouraging them to walk and cycle instead of driving private vehicles," he explained.
He added that unchecked vehicle growth amid limited road expansion remains a challenge, requiring strict public lane sterilization and better master plan connectivity.
“We have Mikrotrans, but its connectivity must expand further so people choose public transit over private cars," he stated.
