Bantar Gebang Dump Site to Apply Self-Management System

Jakarta Dept. of Cleanliness will apply self-management system for Bantar Gebang Integrated Dump Site. Compensation will be given for local residents after applying this system.

Head Unit of Integrated Waste Management for the agency, Asep Kuswanto, said compensation or known as Community Development (CD) will be given after Bantar Gebang applies self-management system.

“Compensation is given after applying the system. The value is bigger than before,” he said, Thursday (6/23).

Dump Truck Procurement in Bantar Gebang to Be Tried

Jakarta Provincial Government has allocated Rp 35 billion for compensation fund. The fund will be given for 18 households around Bantar Gebang site.

Head Section of Socialization and Public Relation for the agency, Yogi Ikhwan, stated the fund will be transferred to Bekasi City Administration local cash.

“The administration will disburse the fund to each households through Society Empowerment Institution (LPM),” he stated.

Each households will get three-months fund namely BLT Rp 200 thousand, Social Aid Rp 200 thousand, and Physic Development Aid Rp 100 thousand.

“Total is Rp 500 thousand per three months. The value is 66.67 percent bigger compared to previous one by Rp 300 thousand only,” he explained
