Preparing funds for various future needs
According to him, investing in the capital market can be an alternative for young people to prepare for their financial condition, especially amidst the economic challenges facing society.
City Council Supports Bond Financing to Speed Up Public Housing Development"It's time for Jakarta's youth to enter the world of capital markets. In these difficult economic times, saving and investing in the stock market can be a solution for preparing funds for various future needs," he said, Monday (10/5).
August requested that the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) intensify investment education in schools, universities, and public spaces. Education is considered crucial for young people to understand the mechanisms and risks of the capital market before investing.
"Navigating the capital market is no easy task. Therefore, the Jakarta Provincial Government, through the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (PTSP), must conduct socialization in schools and other venues to teach our young people how to enter the capital market," he added.
August continued that capital market education can also broaden the younger generation's understanding of the business and entrepreneurial worlds. Introducing investment at an early age is expected to encourage young people to develop businesses using capital accumulated gradually.
He also proposed a collaboration between the Jakarta Jakarta Provincial Government, the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the banking sector, and educational institutions to expand investment access for beginners. One such initiative involves establishing investment galleries on university campuses to serve as a platform for education and the guided introduction of stock trading practices.
"Investment galleries could be established on every campus to facilitate students becoming novice investors by purchasing and trading stocks," he stated.
