Check Out this October Schedule for East Jakarta’s Mobile Pet Clinic

Pet owners in East Jakarta now have easier access to veterinary care right in their neighborhoods.

Doors open from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM

The East Jakarta Food Security, Maritime, and Agriculture Sub-agency (KPKP) has deployed a mobile veterinary clinic van, set to tour various subdistricts across the municipality throughout October 2026.

East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head Taufik Yulianto emphasized that the mobile clinic is all about cutting down travel time for pet owners, bridging the gap between municipal animal care and local neighborhoods.

"All through October, our clinic on wheels will pop up at neighborhood posts, urban village offices, government centers, public plazas, and even community farming collectives across East Jakarta," he expressed, Tuesday (10/6).

The clinic on wheels packs a punch, offering full-service veterinary care right from the van. Services range from general vet check-ups and medications to lab diagnostics, spaying and neutering surgeries, routine vaccines, and high-tech ultrasound screenings.

"Doors open from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM, with a one-hour break between 12 PM and 1 PM," he explained.

The tour got underway earlier this month, first setting up camp at the Kramat Jati Urban Village office on October 1, and later joining World Rabies Day celebrations at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) on Octotber 3.

"Following those stops, the unit served the public from October 5 to 6 at the RW 14 secretariat office in Taman Buaran Indah, located on Jalan Taman Buaran Blok B No. 1, RT 03/RW 14, Klender urban village, Duren Sawit Sub-district," he continued.

Up next on the route, the mobile unit will pull up to the RW 06 community post in Pisangan Timur, Pulogadung, on October 7, and Gedong Urban Village office in Pasar Rebo on October 8.

Pet owners in Jatinegara can catch the clinic at the Cipinang Besar Selatan office on October 10. The van then rolls to Batu Ampar's Saung Aset in Kramat Jati on October 12, before settling in for an extended three-day run at the Cipinang Melayu Urban Village hall in Makasar from October 13 to 15.

By mid-October, the mobile clinic shifts to Cakung, setting up camp at the RW 07 post in Metland Housing Complex, Ujung Menteng on October 17.

From there, the team moves to the Rambutan Urban Village hall in Ciracas on October 19, Pulogadung PPIKM Building in Jatinegara Kaum on October 20, and wraps up that week at RW 08 community center in Utan Kayu Utara, Matraman, on October 21.

The route picks up again on October 22 at the Baru Urban Village office in Pasar Rebo, followed by a stop at the Cibubur Urban Village hall in Ciracas on October 24. On October 26, the van pulls into the Menteng Asri RPTRA community park in Ujung Menteng, Cakung.

The tour then zeroes in on Cipayung, welcoming local pets at the Pondok Ranggon Urban Village office on October 27 and moving to the Ceger Urban Village office on October 28.

"We're closing out the October tour on October 29 at the Jatinegara Sub-district hall, with the final stop on October 31 hosted by the Edelweis Farming Group in Kebon Manggis, Matraman," he explained.

He stressed that healthy pets mean a healthier city, noting that veterinary care is a cornerstone of public health and community well-being.

"Our mission is simple: bring the clinic to the people. By cutting out travel hurdles, we want to ensure every pet gets the medical care it deserves, while inspiring local communities to champion animal welfare together," he concluded.

Healthy pets mean a safer city, Taufik pointed out, stressing that animal care is intimately linked to broader community well-being.

"Several zoonotic diseases can jump from animals to humans. That is why routine vet visits, up-to-date vaccines, proper medication, and everyday vigilance are not optional—they are essential duties for every responsible pet owner," he stressed.

Through this service, the East Jakarta Food Security, Maritime, and Agriculture Sub-agency (KPKP) also urged the public not to hesitate to consult a veterinarian if they notice any changes in their pets' health condition.

"Let's take good care of our beloved pets' health. Healthy pets make for a comfortable family and a healthier environment," he concluded.
