City Police Prepares 4,467 Personnel for Homecoming Season

City Police prepares 4,467 personnel to handle traffic on pantura, inner city toll and south lane during homecoming season.

Our personnel are also ready guarding traffic jam spots

Comm. Pol. Syamsul Bahri, Traffic Directorate for City Police, said those personnel are deployed starting from D-7 up to D+7 of Eid ul Fitr. In north lane, personnel focus are on Jalan Raya Bekasi and Jalan Inspeksi Kali Malang.

In inner city toll, they guard Jagorawi and Cikampek toll road. In south lane, they are deployed on Jalan Raya Bogor.

Homecoming Transport Condition Must Be Good

“Personnel deployment is aimed to anticipate traffic jam. Our personnel are also ready guarding traffic jam spots,” he said, Friday (6/24).

He predicts traffic jam during homecoming season will not as bad as last year. Vehicles volume will also decrease since many companies holding free homecoming travel program.

“They will depart before the peak of homecoming,” he added.

Traffic for main bus terminal will also decrease up to 25 percent because of the programs. There are 1,500 buses transporting the traveller on June 30 at Gelora Bung Karno.

“Trucks except delivering fuel and staple food are prohibited to pass since D-7,” he closed.
