Market operation will still be run by Jakarta Provincial Government after Eid ul Fitr. The target is remain the same, suppress the price of staple foods at markets.

“We still have one more round, next week. After Eid, it will still run,” said Arie Nasrudin, PD Pasar Jaya Director, Friday (6/24).

At this moment, PD Pasar Jaya is still running market operation at 127 areas. Commodities sold at the operation are sugar Rp 14 thousand/kg, cooking oil Rp 21 thousand/kg, wheat Rp 8,500/kg, rice Rp 39 thousand/kg, beef Rp 70 thousand/kg, red onion 25 thousand/kg, egg Rp 20 thousand/kg.

Ismiyati (42), one of buyers, admitted the operation is helping residents much. Moreover, the operation sells cheaper staple foods compared to traditional market.

“Thanks for the market operation. I hope it could be held routinely,” she stated.
