East Jakarta Environment Sub-agency Head Monang Sinaga said the emissions testing was conducted through a proactive outreach approach to support the Jakarta Blue Sky program and curb air pollution.
“This free emission testing service aims to make it easier for the public to check their vehicle exhaust emissions,” he expressed, Thursday (11/5).

Monang urged motorists whose vehicles fell short of the requirements to conduct urgent servicing at authorized dealerships, after which they could submit their vehicles for re-examination.
“This is part of our broader commitment to curtailing pollution and boosting urban air quality,” he explained.
Monang added that the sub-agency would continue its proactive outreach testing at multiple spots, including district offices and other viable sites, for residents' convenience.
“We encourage more motorists to regularly check that their vehicles comply with emission standards, doing their part to keep the capital’s air clean,” he said.
