Health Dept Instructed to Raid Fake Vaccine in Hospital

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama has instructed Jakarta Health Dept to give strict sanction to hospitals that sell fake vaccine.

He was upset with these people. Moreover the illegal business has been conducted for years.

Health Agency Intensively Raids Fake Vaccines

"This is cruel and dangerous. They have been running it over 10 years. Why they do not be afraid of sin," he expressed.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Health Dept Head, Koesmadi Priharto disclosed his dept is checking vaccine that used in private hospital. All this time, it is supplied from Biofarma.

"My rank will do a massive raid against fake vaccine in hospital. And see the invoice, where they take it. If there is suspicious thing, report it to BPOM," he explained.

He expressed if fake vaccine is detected, the officer will seize it. Thus far, puskesmas that spread in 44 sub-districts are still safe.

"The important thing is we secure it first. And then we replace it with the safe one. So far, there has been no report about fake vaccine findings in Jakarta. But we remain investigate it," he closed.
