City Extends Target of 6,000 CCTVs Installation

Jakarta Provincial Government extends the target to install 6,000 CCTVs. At this moment, 3,325 CCTVs have been installed.

Jakarta Dept. of Communication Informatics and Public Relations, Dian Ekowati, admitted there are problems during the installation. Her side extends the period from June to November.

“We give additional time to them,” she said, Monday (6/27).

24 CCTVs in Pulogebang Terminal Still Malfunctioned

Her side will provide agreement with six vendors installing the CCTV. If the installation failed to meet the target, vendors will get sanction.

“We’ll revoke their license surely,” she added.

According to her, of 3,325 CCTVs installed, 2,812 of them have been connected. The rests are being connected. As many as 133 CCTVs are installed on Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Selatan, Timur, Barat, Jalan MH Thamrin, and Jalan Sudirman.
