Illegal Parking on Jalan Inspeksi Kali Ciliwung to Be Controlled

Jalan Inspeksi Kali Ciliwung is used by Kampung Pulo residents, Jatinegara, East Jakarta as parking lot. In fact, the road is provided to smooth the Ciliwung river normalization.

Asep (42), one of residents, admitted he can save money up to Rp 300 thousand per month.

“Previously, I parked my car at hospital or market and paid Rp 300-400 thousand per month. It’s free on the inspection road,” he said, Wednesday (7/13).

Responding this matter, Jatinegara Sub-district Head, Nasrudin Abu Bakar, said Jalan Inspeksi Ciliwung must free from illegal parking. The road is designed for supporting river normalization, as well as access for ambulance and fire truck.

“We will control the illegal parking soon. We can not remain silent seeing this matter,” he stated.

If the illegal parking is not controlled, he added, many residents will park their vehicles there.
