City to Add PT Transjakarta Authority

Jakarta Provincial Government is about to add PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) authority. Not only managing bus and shelter, the company will also manage all pedestrian bridge connected with bus shelter.

All pedestrian bridge connected with Transjakarta shelter will be managed by the company

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, said pedestrian bridge connected with Transjakarta shelter becomes technical problem for Jakarta Provincial Government.

“All pedestrian bridge connected with Transjakarta shelter will be managed by the company,” he said, Tuesday (7/26).

Ombudsman Eyes Transjakarta Service

Djarot added that pedestrian bridge management involves many units of Jakarta Provincial Government. As the example, bridge lighting involves Dept. of Industry and Energy, CCTV monitoring involves Dept. of Communication, Informatics and Public Relation.

By adding the authority of pedestrian bridge management, technical problem will be solved by PT Transjakarta.

This authority adding is already final, executive will ask legislative suggestion. If those two sides agree, then the plan will be realized soon.
