Irregularities Detected in Raskin Distribution in Kota Bambu Utara

The distribution evaluation team for raskin under West Jakarta Administration, found illegal practice in Kota Bambu Utara Urban Village, Palmerah. Every target household (RTS) is charged under extra costs amounting to Rp 6,000 for transportation cost.

Section Head of West Jakarta Social and Welfare, Nuraini Sylviana disclosed, illegal practice broke out after the team did checking in the field. Every RTS that entitled to raskin must pay Rp 24,000 per 15 kilogram of rice plus a cost of Rp 6,000.

"We tell to the citizen, there is no rice distribution cost. According to the rules, they just pay Rp 24,000 and no extra costs," he asserted, Friday (7/29).

Raskin for Lagoa Citizens Distributed

Her side will routinely monitor raskin distribution for the needy at Secretariat of RW 07 Kota Bambu Utara Urban Village. It aims to anticipate the same case.

"Monitoring will also be intensified in other areas. The case should not happen again," he finished.
