A Candle Burned House on Jl Saco

A house that located at Jl Saco, RT 09/10, Ragunan Urban Village, Pasar Minggu Sub-district, burned at 10 AM, Monday (8/1). Allegedly, it is triggered by a candle inside the building.

Head of Pasar Minggu Sector IX Ragunan Team for South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept, Andi Ruriawan disclosed, the fire incident is due to outage power in the settlement. Then Manta Firdha (48), an owner of the house lit a candle for lighting in the bathroom.

"The candle placed on the plastic tub. The candle began to run out, and finally burn the tub and grabbed onto the roof," he expressed.

Fire Razes Scavenger Huts in Menteng

As many as two fire trucks immediately sent to the scene. Along with locals, the flames managed to be controlled within 30 minutes.

"There is no casualty in the incident, and the loss is reaching Rp 3 million," he finished.
