Following the case of dead passenger after falling from the boat in Pasar Ikan Water, Penjaringan Baru on Sunday (7/31), Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat revealed, the crossing boat that still operates in North Jakarta must be controlled.

"Crossing boat must be controlled. I don't want to see victim again as it did before," he stated, after attending executive meeting (rapim) at City Hall, Monday (8/1).

To avoid similar incident, he asked local citizens who often use the boat to cross from one river to another river choosing alternatives other vehicles safer.

"You can ride public transport or walking. This is healthier. Than fall, and you will lose a life," he finished.
