Blok G Tanah Abang Parking Retribution Increases

The parking management handling by Jakarta Provincial Government at 15 locations is assessed good. It can be seen from retribution revenue at one of those locations, that is Blok G Tanah Abang. The retribution increases significantly.

“During handled by private side, a year retribution was only Rp 27.5 million, now it reaches Rp 8.3 million just in two days,” said Sigit Wijatmoko, Jakarta Vice Dept. of Transportation, Wednesday (8/3).

According to him, 148 out of 153 markets have parking potency. “32 markets have expired contract with operator, and 15 of them have been taken over. Other 17 markets will be also taken over on August 22,” he added.

15 Markets Parking Lot Needs Improvement

Previously, as many as 15 market parking managements were taken over by parking regional public service (BLUD) on August 1. The effort is aimed to boost parking revenue.
