British Embassy Land Purchasing Accelerated

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama, said will speed up the purchasing of ex-British Embassy land. His side has discussed with National Land Board (BPN) about this effort.

Based on BPN regulation, land purchasing for public facility should not pay charge to notary

Previously, the embassy is objection with the notary charge. The charge is 0.8-1 percent out of purchasing nominal, or Rp 4.7 billion.

“We trying to fine the solution. Based on BPN regulation, land purchasing for public facility should not pay charge to notary,” he said, Thursday (8/18).

Purchase for British Embassy Land Still Under Negotiation

He added that this way will give benefit to the embassy. It is hoped the purchasing can be completed this year. If not, the embassy will sell it other sides.

As planned before, the land will be used as aspiration park. The existing building will not be demolished.
